Project Selection

Projects are reviewed before acceptance to confirm fit, scope, and release intent.

If approved, you’ll receive:

A short alignment call (if needed)
A fixed price
An invoice to begin

Availability

Capacity is intentionally limited.

Long-term or multi-track project engagements are taken on selectively.

Kong Studios – Key Terms (Summary)

Before submitting an application or making payment, please note the following:

Payment

Full payment is required before work begins.
Payments are non-refundable once work has started.
Ownership transfers only after payment is received in full.

Revisions

One revision is included per project unless otherwise agreed.
Additional revisions or scope changes may incur additional fees.

Mixing & Mastering Only

Flat-fee service.
You retain 100% master ownership.
No royalties or publishing are taken by Kong Studios.

Full Production (No Songwriting Contribution)

You retain 100% master ownership.
Kong Studios receives 10% of Net Master Recording Income only after 500,000 streams per individual master recording.
The 500,000 stream threshold applies per song, not per album or EP.

Production With Songwriting Contribution

10% master royalty applies after 500,000 streams (per master).
Publishing splits are agreed per project based on actual contribution.
Accurate credit registration is required.

Royalty Reporting

Royalty statements are due every 6 months once threshold is met.
Payment is due within 30 days of reporting.
Audit rights apply.

Credits

Production work must be credited as: “Produced by Kong Studios.”
Writing credits must reflect agreed splits.
Credit removal does not remove royalty obligations.

Re-Releases & Distributor Changes

Royalty obligations apply to re-releases, remasters, alternate versions, new ISRCs, or distributor changes.
Royalty obligations cannot be avoided through technical changes.

Label & Third-Party Deals

Any label or third-party agreement must protect Kong Studios’ royalty and publishing rights.

No Guarantee of Commercial Success

Streaming performance, chart placement, and financial outcomes are not guaranteed.

File Storage

Project files are stored for 30 days after delivery.
Clients are responsible for long-term backups.

Legal

Governing Law: England & Wales.
Disputes subject to English jurisdiction.
